As utilities continue to navigate the complexities of interconnecting and managing distributed energy resources (DERs), Clean Power Research® is evolving FleetView® to meet the moment. With a refreshed user interface, seamless PowerClerk® integration and a roadmap that expands visibility beyond PV, FleetView is delivering on its promise: your view behind the meter.

A fresh look at FleetView

Earlier this year, we introduced a redesigned FleetView interface that makes it easier than ever to explore DER insights. The new UI allows users to:

  • Browse DER fleets on an interactive map
  • Drill into system-level specifications
  • Visualize historical, real-time and forecasted power output
  • Seamlessly download data, schedule transfers via SFTP or integrate via API

This update isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s about making DER intelligence more accessible and actionable. If you missed our launch post, you can catch up here.

FleetView + PowerClerk: A powerful integration

We’re excited to announce that FleetView now intelligently integrates directly with PowerClerk®, Clean Power Research’s industry-leading workflow automation platform. This new feature automatically synchronizes DER interconnection records from PowerClerk into FleetView, enabling visibility even before a system is granted permission to operate.

Here’s why this matters:

  • Proactive planning with queue visibility — FleetView delivers immediate insight into systems still in the interconnection queue. Planners can assess upcoming DER impacts ahead of approval, allowing for earlier, more informed grid planning and scenario analysis.
  • Instant access for newly added systems — FleetView can simulate PV system output using design specs—eliminating the traditional wait for months of AMI data required by DERMS platforms. This accelerates operational awareness and decision making.
  • Fleet-level aggregation — Systems are automatically grouped into fleets based on grid connectivity (e.g., circuit or substation), enabling planners and engineers to analyze DER impacts at any level.
  • Unified source of truth — All teams—from interconnection to planning to operations—can access consistent, up-to-date DER insights without manual coordination.

This integration leverages PowerClerk as a platform for DER intelligence. FleetView enables utilities to simulate DER behavior with greater nuance, capturing effects like array orientation, clipping and extreme weather.

The result is more accurate forecasts, better-informed planning and faster operational decisions.

What’s next: Expanding the view beyond PV

The journey doesn’t stop here. Our vision for FleetView is to be the definitive platform for distributed energy resource intelligence—whatever form DERs take.

FleetView is expanding to support:

  • Battery storage detection — Detect batteries, infer specifications and simulate their behavior alongside PV to uncover true gross load.
  • Electric vehicle (EV) insights — Identify EV adoption and charging patterns to uncover grid impacts and engage customers.
  • Heating and cooling loads — Our patented Virtual Energy Audit technology uncovers heating and cooling loads, giving planners new tools to understand demand on the grid.

As the DER ecosystem grows, FleetView is committed to scaling with you—providing dependable, granular and actionable insights every step of the way. Our platform is designed to turn DERs from a source of uncertainty into a trusted asset for reliability, resilience and efficiency.
