What You’ll Be Doing as a Research Project Intern at Clean Power Research

Clean Power Research seeks an ambitious student, prospective researcher or software engineer to work as a Research Project Intern for an ongoing, limited time but not summer only, internship with the company’s research team. As a full-time Intern with Clean Power Research, you will be mentored by our top-in-the-industry research team. Research project topics and scope will vary by interest and experience level, but may include topics such as: electric vehicle adoption modeling, electric load modeling, image processing, etc.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform an in-depth review of previous work related to your research project topic
  • Find reputable data sources and clean data to use for your research project
  • Design, build and deliver your project (or feature added to existing larger scale project)
  • Submit your code for review
  • Present your progress and results to the research team
  • Actively participate with mentor and in team activities

Who You Are

  • Pursuing a BA/BS or MS degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering or related technical discipline
  • Have significant hands-on programming experience in python
  • Possess and desire to grow core data analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Have interest in researching topics important to clean energy
  • Able to write and speak effectively in English
