Technical Account Manager Europe – SolarAnywhere

Clean Power Research seeks highly motivated, self-driven solar industry sales professional with extensive technical expertise as its representative to the regional solar and utility industries. Supporting our SolarAnywhere ® product, the Technical Account Manager will be the primary point of contact for regional solar industry companies throughout the customer lifecycle. You’ll be chartered with developing and managing a sales pipeline mix of both high value and transactional accounts.

Travel Requirement: ~25%. This is a remote position for an individual in Europe or in the Eastern or Atlantic time zones of the USA or Canada.


  • Develop new business and expand customer base
  • Understand complex customer problems in solar financing, siting, operation and maintenance and present compelling software solutions
  • Clearly communicate SolarAnywhere product features, benefits, and differentiators
  • Demo SolarAnywhere effectively in person and over the web
  • Become a technical product expert
  • Close software license deals and achieve target revenue
  • Provide first-line product support as needed
  • Maintain account, contact, and opportunity records in company CRM platform
  • Manage and maintain the highest customer satisfaction with existing customers
  • Become a subject matter expert on solar irradiance historical and forecasting data, PV simulation modeling and product configuration options


  • Located in Europe or the Eastern or Atlantic time zones of the USA or Canada; if USA candidate, preference is for NY or MA location
  • 2+ years in a customer support or technical sales role selling software-as-a-service (SaaS), or equivalent experience in the solar industry
  • Experience managing major accounts for growth and retention
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with additional proficiency in Spanish, German, or French strongly preferred.
  • Passion for solar and/or renewables
  • Experience in the solar and/or utility industries required, familiarity with the market in EMEA is a huge plus
  • Knowledge of SolarAnywhere and competitive solutions
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required. Degree in a scientific or engineering discipline preferred
